India by Christine Orange is
38" tall. She is a showcase tradition and custom in an
exotic light. A combination of colors was used to create the
ethnic coloring of the doll's creamy porcelain head, neck,
breastplate, arms and legs. India's posable, hand-stitched
and hand-stuffed cloth body includes beads which allow for
easy and secure seating in any pose - an exclusive feature
of Christine's dolls. Heavy-gauge skeleton wire ensures arms
hold their pose while hand-sewn knee caps and legs
illustrate another unique feature of Christine's
craftsmanship. A special blend of black and brown synthetic
hair and mohair produces a realistic human texture. India's
brown Pabol eyes with synthetic upper and lower lashes are
positioned to give a true-to-life look. Pabol is a brand of
high quality acrylic with the look of fine glass. Painted
feathered brows, lips, blushed cheeks, fingernails and
toenails give her a breathtaking appearance. The doll is a
breather and is barefoot. India dons a light blue top,
turquoise skirt and sari, and silky pantaloons. The neckline
and cuffs are trimmed with hand-applied faux crystal beads.
The ensemble's shimmery, silky, "wet" look gives the fabric
a luxurious quality. She wears a hand-made antique necklace
with blue stones and hand-made beaded bracelets and anklets.
